Our new address is 2238 W 5400 S in Taylorsville Utah! We are currently setting up shelves and slowly moving stuff in, and are planning on doing some painting this Saturday. If you'd like to help us paint on some murals and artsy fartsy nonsense on our walls on May 23rd, email us at secondhandsalamander@gmail.com and we'll let you know the details!
We will be having a Volunteer Day on June 6th to get everything moved in. In the morning we'll be meeting at my house to load up everyone's cars with stuff and drive over to the new place - a three minute drive from the Salamander garage. Then in the afternoon, we'll be organizing everything into its proper spot. It will be SUPER fun, and you can sign up here to help!
PS, We are not open yet - please don't drop off any donations at the store! (Unless you're coming to our volunteer day; then you can bring donations straight there.) Once we do open, we'll have a procedure where you check in at the front desk before donating items. Thanks for being patient!
The handprint day for those who have donated on our Zeffy will be a special event on or right before our opening day! We will be opening this summer. We don't want to give a precise date yet because we want everything to be just right for our opening week, but it will probably be sometime this July! Stay tuned!

The news is out! We have found a place for the Salamander to live! We are hoping to open this summer, and will announce the actual location and date by the end of June.
As such, it's more important than ever to support the Salamander with your generous monetary donations. We will need as much support as possible to pay rent, especially for the first few months of our operation.
When you donate any amount between now and the end of May, you will be invited to a special event where you can put a handprint on a mural inside our store! This symbolizes that this is truly a community effort and is built by every one of us. We are an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so we'll send you a tax receipt when you donate!

As you can see, it is packed to the ceiling! This is wonderful and also I can't get to the yarn in the back.
Because of this fantastic issue, we are pausing large donations for now. We are currently working on organizing our storefront which will give us more storage space and let us move our supplies out the door to you faster.
You're still welcome to drop off smaller donations at one of our drop off locations below, but if you need to move your great aunt's entire scrapbook room out, hold onto it for a couple months! We'll take it as soon as we can!
