Fall/Halloween Decor - $5 Fill-A-Bag

All October!

For the ENTIRE month of October (or until it's gone!)  you can fill a grocery bag with Fall, Thanksgiving, and Halloween decor for just $5! We have one more shelf of Fall Decor before we switch to all Christmas Decor, so come in this week!

This includes anything on the Fall/Halloween seasonal shelf, canvases/art celebrating the harvest season, and any other autumnal treasures you can find!

Crafts and Coffee with Lucky Ones Coffee

We'll be doing a Halloween decoration activity at Lucky Ones Coffee! We'll have all kinds of supplies for you to make your own spooky Halloween decor. Or if decor isn't your thing, we'll bring things for Halloween cards! 

Come grab a coffee, make a craft, then head into the library for your next cozy read!

Workshop: Holly's Collage Class

Join us for Holly's Collage Class 🦎✨

Holly is teaching a collage class! Collage is a great medium for beginners, and you can use anything - old magazines, paper, paint, fabric, yarn, and more. You're welcome to use what you find in the store in your collage - it's all included with your registration!

Suggested registration is $15, but as always, it's pay what you can!

Workshop - Knitting and Hat Looms with Linda

Linda is back teaching us how to use a hat loom!

This is a super beginner friendly class. This is one of the first crafts I learned how to do! You can buy supplies at the store, or just pay the $15 registration for the class and have your supplies covered!

Workshop - Angela's Pumpkin Embroidery Class

Oct 22 - 6:30 pm

Secondhand Salamander, 2238 W 5400 S, Workshop room

Angela is teaching an embroidery class! We'll be doing a simple pumpkin outline with a few vines and leaves. Angela will show how to trace a pattern, put the fabric in the hoop, thread the needle, make a knot, start and stop the thread, and a few different stitches.  

You will be able to take your pattern/fabric, hoop, thread, needle, and needle threader home. Then you will just need scissors to cut thread and a hairdryer or iron to erase the lines.

Suggested donation is $15 per person per session, but as always, it's pay what you want! All your supplies are covered in your registration!

Workshop - Machine Sewing 101 - Quilt Kits!

Learn how to use that sewing machine you inherited from your mom! Lexie will walk you through the ins and outs of how to thread your machine and start a seam. We'll talk about how to start a quilt, and you're welcome to pick your favorite fabrics from the store!

Donations of $15 are encouraged to cover the cost of supplies and the class, but as always it's pay what you can!

Workshop - Holly's Scrappy Pumpkins

We'll be making cute pumpkins with Holly! You can use any fabric, ribbons, paper, etc. that you find in the store - it's all included in your registration!

We had such a blast making cards last time we just had to do it again! 

Morgan will help you create beautiful eye catching cards that no one will ever want to throw away. You're welcome to use any of the supplies in the store - all supplies are included in your registration for the class!

Workshop: Ransom Notes!

Kim will be teaching a class on making your own "Ransom Notes"  in celebration of the spooky season!

Monthly Volunteer Day

Nov 2 - 10am-7pm

Store organization, Overstock Giveaway, and more! Every first Monday of the month we'll have a volunteer day where we do a big ole store refresh. If you like getting into the nitty gritty organizational bits, this volunteer event is for you!

From 10 am - 7 pm we will be organizing the store. We will be restocking shelves, organizing messy/disorganized shelves, separating yarn monsters, folding fabric, updating donation spreadsheets, and more! We will also have a table in the workshop room with our overstocked items where you can take supplies home. Refreshments provided!

This is a special event that we will try to have monthly the first Monday of each month as a big opportunity to volunteer and as a big thank you to our volunteers! Signing up will let us know how many snacks to bring, but if you forget to sign up, show up anyway and we'll put you to work! Sign up here!

Workshop: Hot Wheels Tracks with Creator's Craft Crates

We're gonna race cars! We are partnering with Creator's Craft Crates to do some fun STEM activities, and today we'll be building racetracks. Come build some hot wheels tracks with us in our workshop room! This event is open to all ages - both kids and kids at heart.

Workshop: Puppet Making

Join us for a puppet making class! 🦎✨

Morgan is a puppeteer in SLC, and she is teaching a puppet making class! We have SO much fuzzy fabric and little doodads you can use for your puppet in the store. It can be as simple or as complex as you desire. You're welcome to use any you find in the store for your puppet - it's all included with your registration!
